DESCRIPTION
MT7636 is a controller for removing the 100Hz/120Hz LED current ripple on high PF pre-driver circuit. The adaptive technology of the chip ensures minimum power dissipation while removing LED current ripple.
MT7636 can drive a single LED string with the external MOSFET. The chip clamps the input voltage on VDD pin by 15V, and clamps the internal maximum current by 11.5mA. If the power supply voltage is too high (more than 15V), resulting in too much clamping current, a series resistor is connected to the VDD pin. The chip can flexibly adjust the LED peak current by adjusting the sense resistor value of the CS pin, so as to avoid damage to the power MOS and LED lamp during short circuit or hot plug.
MT7636 integrates temperature compensation, the system automatically adjusts the current ripple at high temperature to reduce MOSFET power dissipation and ensures system reliability.
